
Dr. Yi-Jen Lu
Dr. Yi-Jen Lu is an Associate Professor at the Mental Health and Counseling Center and Institute of Education at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University. He earned his Ph.D. in Guidance and Counseling from National Changhua University of Education. Dr. Lu previously served as Vice Chief Director of the Mental Health and Counseling Center and as Chief Director of the Counseling Center at National Chiao Tung University. His research interests include school alienation, adolescent mental health, and culturally responsive school counseling. He developed the Situational Structure–Based Therapeutic Approach, which emphasizes the impact of sociocultural and familial contexts on students’ mental health. Dr. Lu also created culturally relevant assessment tools, including a school alienation scale, offering both theoretical insight and practical strategies for effective school-based counseling and intervention.
